Saturday will start the 34th edition of the Rolex Middle Sea Race in Malta departing.The depart is scheduled for the day of 19 October at 11:00 a.m in Valletta. The race is the most prestigious international event in Malta and thousands of people will be watching the start.The event will be televised live on Maltese Television and will have a huge worldwide audience. The duration of the race is 8 days,beginning on day 19 and ending on the 26th with the trophy and awards delivery the same day. Initiate the test vessels along the bastions of St. Angelo.From there,take a drive to north along the eastern coast of Sicily to sthe Strait of Messina from where you have a magnificient view of Etna. The route continues towards the Aeolian islands and then heads west to the Aegadian islands,subsequently reaching the islands of Lampedusa and Pantelleria.At this point being the return to Malta,trough the Comino Channel to the end of port of Marsamxett.
